Bruce Deemer - Compliance Specialist (RIA)

Bruce Deemer has been proficient at processing large quantities of information into organized, easily understandable portions for most of his life. He focused his abilities primarily on language and languages, studying Danish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish in school and other languages in his own time.

A scholarship won while a student at the University of Virginia (B.A. degree, magnum cum laude, 1976) sent him to Sweden where he lived for 13 years, working his way up to be an instructor in the Swedish Post Service’s foreign section. Returning to the United States in 1989, he worked at various jobs, including 7 years as a case manager for the Sable-Sheerer clinic in Cook County Hospital, before assuming the consultant desk for investment advisers at National Compliance Consultants, Inc. (“NCCI”) in November 1998, a division he now heads.

Bruce has extensive experience and knowledge with respect to Registered Investment Advisers: applications, compliance guides, forensic reviews, registrations, and post-review remediation. He has conducted on-site reviews in many states and has worked with the regulators of nearly all states over the years. Bruce has made presentations on investment adviser regulation to insurance agents and to college students at the University of Illinois.

He is Series 63 and 65 licensed and in 2004 added a Business Associates Degree to his post graduate credentials.

Bruce enjoys: reading, writing (author, Having Words Together), studying language and languages, eating well, and several hobbies and other interests.
